TAQA appoints Donald Taylor Managing Director Europe

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates – Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA) has appointed Donald Taylor Managing Director of TAQA Europe. As Managing Director, Mr Taylor will be responsible for TAQA’s upstream and midstream assets in the North Sea and the Netherlands.“Donald is an accomplished leader with extensive experience from various roles at TAQA and other North Sea operators,” said Saeed Hamad Al Dhaheri, TAQA Acting Chief Operating Officer. “He has demonstrated strong leadership and has proven to be the right person to steer our European operations towards a safe and sustainable future.”Donald Taylor commented: “It is a privilege to lead TAQA’s European business into the next phase of its journey. We have undergone a significant transformation programme over the past few years. Although this is now complete, the key challenge is to ensure the improvements made are sustained. Donald Taylor has been Acting Managing Director since late 2016. He joined TAQA in 2009 and has held a range of operational and safety leadership roles, latterly as operations director. Previously, Mr Taylor held leadership positions at North Sea operators Maersk Oil, Kerr-McGee, BHP and Conoco.
